Description

Experience - The Area...

A comfortable detached single storey cottage in lovely countryside, converted from a wagon house of natural stone and slate, to one side of the entrance of Pollingarrow Farm near the picturesque village of St Kew and only a 15 minute drive from the sandy beaches of the Camel Estuary.

St Kew Highway, about five minutes drive, has a pub, garage, and mini market, the village of St Kew about 3 / 4 mile has a pretty church and an old pub that offers good pub food and there is a 9 hole golf course 1 mile away. The bustling town of Wadebridge is an aproximate ten to fifteen minute drive where a wide selection of amenities including supermarkets can be found.

Stay - The Accommodation...

Set in a walled and gated garden the cottage is entered from a sheltered patio area to the front. The door opens to a slate floored hallway with an adjacent shower room W.C. and hand basin. The living accommodation consists of a spacious open plan living room with the character of the wagon house preserved in a high ceiling open to the beams in the apex of the roof. The room is light and pleasant with a pine floor and windows on three sides and a partly separated kitchen.

At the other end of the cottage a spacious bedroom has a 5' kingsize bed, hand basin and a window looking over the front patio area. There is a wall mounted electric heater in each room. At the rear a grassy fenced garden looks out over farmland and an under cover drying area has been provided.

This cottage was very good, quiet and the owners were very kind and helpful. You were very near to Wadebridge for shopping cinema etc, but in the cottage it was very peaceful. If this is the type of holiday you want then this is for you, I could have stayed forever. It says 4 star but I could say for me it was 5 star. - Mr & Mrs J Fry
