Treyarnon Bay is a wonderful destination for beach days, surfing and walking on Cornwall’s dramatic northern coastline, spotting dolphins and seals along the way. Don’t leave your pooch at home either, as the beach and the surrounding Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are open year-round for dogs. We have plenty of dog-friendly cottages in Treyarnon Bay and the surrounding area.
Take a look at our Treyarnon Holiday Cottages and find one that’s perfect for your Cornish coastal holiday. The bay was one of the first in the UK to offer surf lessons as the Atlantic waves which roll on to Treyarnon Bay beach are great for beginner surfers and bodyboarders.
The soft golden sands make way for hundreds of rock pools. Go armed with buckets, spades, nets, and crab lines for endless hours of fun discovering marine life. One of the rockpools, known locally at the Natural Swimming Pool, is vast and deep enough to stand, snorkel and even swim in – so perfect if you’re looking to learn. If you’re not one for ball games, sandcastles and dam building across the little stream that runs across the beach, you can still enjoy a peaceful afternoon tucked away in one of the tiny coves and crevices that flank either side of the beach. Return home to your Treyarnon Bay holiday cottage with sea-salty hair and relax in a pretty garden.
When the seasons change and the Cornish weather is excitingly wild and crisp, return from walks and snuggle in front of a cosy fire - and sip your favourite tipple!
