Please note: Woolly Welcome is a detached dormer bungalow and it is part of the ground floor of the property which has been used to create the accommodation with the rest of the property unoccupied during the season.

Located just 6 minutes by car from the mile long beach at Marazion with views across to St Michael's Mount perched on a rocky outcrop this ground floor accommodation with safe parking for two cars set in the owner's smallholding where they keep a variety of animals including alpacas and emus.Woolly Welcome is an ideal location to explore the many beaches, coastal walks and gardens West Cornwall has to offer.

Approached by a private tarmac drive with four steps leading to the front door opening into the fitted farmhouse style kitchen/dining area with a tiled floor, views over the enclosed garden and patio. From the kitchen a glazed door leads to the carpeted sitting room with comfortable lounge seating arranged before an ornamental fireplace with a further sofa in front of the sliding doors with a step down to the large patio outside.

From the sitting room a glazed door leads opens into the hall with parquet flooring off which are two light and comfortably furnished bedrooms, a double and twin, with stripped timber floors and storage. Further on is the family bathroom WC with a tiled floor, bath and handheld shower attachment plus separate shower unit with a step up and basin. Completing the accommodation with two steps down is a light conservatory with a tile floor, comfortable seating overlooking the drive and the owners Alpaca enclosure to the side.

Outside is an enclosed patio with a pergola covered in wisteria, honeysuckle, clematis & rose a perfect spot to make use of the built in or gas BBQ's. A step from the patio opens onto the main lawn with flower borders, a paddock to the side with the owner's 2 emus Elle and Egbert and a further 3 steps up to a gravelled terrace at the top with a gazebo and seating looking back across the garden to the property. From the patio three steps and a path take you to the outside laundry room with two steps up housing a washing machine.

Goldsithney a 4 minute walk has a post office, local store, two pubs and a church. Marazion 2 miles has a selection of shops, restaurants and you can walk across the causeway to St Michaels Mount at low tide or make use of the long sandy beach offering safe bathing at Mounts Bay with views towards the Lizard Peninsula, in one direction, and Lands End in the other. Marazion marsh a site of special scientific interest is host to a variety of animal, bird and plant life and there is freshwater fishing at Millpool a mile away.

The golf course and beach at Praa Sands is eight minutes by car or Perranuthnoe beach one and a half miles ,with the fishing harbour at Mousehole and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno within 30 minutes.There are also numerous sub-tropical gardens within easy reach. When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
