An attractive Cornish stone, sleeps two property which is adjacent to the owners farm house and within walking distance of the village of St Kew with its popular pub and restaurant. The property backs on to lovely farmland with a sunny garden and patio available for guests use. Welly's Wallow is just a few minutes' drive from the bustling town of Wadebridge and the popular coastal hotspots of Polzeath and Port Isaac.

From the parking area opposite the farm house there are three steps which lead up into the garden with a further step up into the accommodation.

Entered from the front via French doors, the spacious ground floor accommodation is light and airy with the open plan living, dining and kitchen well equipped and comfortable. A feature wood burner set on a Cornish slate hearth provides additional heating with smart wooden flooring, comfortable leather easy seating and flat screen television.

The property benefits from a large walk-in shower room WC with wash hand basin, heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

A carpeted double bedroom with ample storage space looks over the farmland to the back. In addition, there will be no squabbling over the remote as Welly's Wallow has the bonus of two televisions with one conveniently located in the bedroom as well as the living area.

The quintessentially Cornish village of Port Isaac made famous for being the setting for the television series Doc Martin is just 4 miles from Welly's Wallow. Wadebridge town with its array of independent shops, restaurants and supermarkets again just a 4 mile drive. The popular family and surfing beach at Polzeath is within a 7 mile drive with the passenger ferry at Rock over to Padstow a couple of miles further on from Polzeath.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
