Retaining many original features and boasting its own garden and parking, Treveth Barn is a spacious, detached barn conversion with inverted accommodation situated just 3 miles from Pentewan's sandy beach. The dog friendly beaches at Gorran and Caerhays are within easy reach.

On the ground floor you will find the three bedrooms and family bathroom WC with feature bath, overhead shower and wash hand basin. The bedrooms consist of a king bedroom with zip and link beds (so can be made up as a twin), a  5ft double and a twin. The king bedroom benefits from a wet room WC ensuite. (Please note that the king bedroom and wet room WC are new for 2017). There is a television in both the double and king bedrooms.

A carpeted staircase takes you up into the open plan living, dining and kitchen area. The comfortably furnished living room with multi-fuel burner and beamed and pitched ceilings provides ample easy seating for the six guests accommodated. A dining area links the living room and kitchen. A large farmhouse-style, well equipped kitchen with Rayburn and electric cooker completes the upstairs layout. Access from the kitchen through a large stable door will take you outside onto a terraced area for alfresco dining.

A small games room downstairs will provide entertainment should the Cornish weather misbehave!

A pleasant lawn garden to the front of the property with garden furniture provided with the bonus of private parking for four cars on a graveled surface.

Approximately half a mile from Treveth Barn is the Kingswood bar and restaurant with a small convenience store in London Apprentice itself. The pub in Polgooth is a popular food and drink destination for visitors and locals alike.Pentewan village is about 2 miles away from Treveth Barn and has a pub, restaurant and selection of small independent shops.

The major visitor attractions of The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan are within a 6 and 4 mile (respectively) drive of the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
