Experience - The Area...

Set in an elevated position in 90 acres of lovely farmland with fabulous views over rolling Cornish countryside is Treliver Farmhouse. This exceptionally spacious and comfortable three bedroom property provides a fantastic base for a family holiday with generously sized accommodation throughout.

The towns of Wadebridge and Padstow are less than 10 miles away as well as the fabulous North Cornwall beaches at Treyarnon Bay and Porthcothan.  Beaches at Watergate Bay and Fistral both on the outskirts of Newquay are less than 30 minutes drive

Stay - The Accommodation...

From the car parking to the front, the farmhouse is entered via three steps up into a useful enclosed porch with one further step up into the large entrance hallway. Two of the three bedrooms are located on the ground floor along with the large family bathroom WC.  The pretty twin bedroom has a shower WC ensuite and is located at the front of the property with the large double bedroom with king size bed to the rear. Both bedrooms are carpeted and provide ample hanging and drawer space as well as a 32" flat screen television in each of the three bedrooms too! The family bathroom WC has a tiled floor, wash hand basin, bath with mixer shower over, bidet and heated towel rail.

An attractive twist and turn Cornish staircase leads up to the first floor where the living accommodation, kitchen, dining room and master bedroom with shower ensuite and king size bed can be found.

At the top of the staircase to the left is the vast kitchen/dining room. The striking and well equipped kitchen with granite worktop central island unit has stripped wooden flooring and super views out across the guests garden and farmland to the front.  Among the various appliances provided for your convenience is a one and a half gas oven with 5 ring gas hob which should excite the cooks in the family! At the far end of the kitchen is a generous sized dining table with chairs.

Just across the small landing is the enormous living room with large, comfortable leather easy seating and feature fireplace with wood burner. The living room once again has super views thanks to its triple aspect.  There is access out onto a small decked balcony which overlooks the owners' private garden to the rear.

Off the living room is the very spacious master bedroom with shower room WC ensuite and king size bed. The owners occupy a small self contained wing of the farmhouse. A large open grass garden to the front overlooks wonderful views and is at guests' disposal with an array of garden furniture provided.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

Loyalty Discount

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
