Experience - The Area...
Only a 10 minute drive from Cape Cornwall and 5 miles from the sandy beach at Sennen Cove, this attractive semi-detached granite cottage is set in the hamlet of Nancherrow only a 15 minute walk from St Just. Toldhu Cottage is in a perfect position to explore the many attributes West Cornwall has to offer.
St Just half a mile has a selection of shops, pubs and galleries with the larger centre of Penzance a 15 minute drive with an interesting selection of restaurants, galleries, shops, a mainline railway station and ferry services to the Isles of Scilly.
There are many walks from St Just which join the South West Coast path and Cape Cornwall 1.5 miles has a golf course and rocky beach. The sandy beaches at Sennon Cove & Mounts Bay are within 20 minutes. The gardens at Trengwainton & Trewidden are 7.5 miles with St Michaels Mount and Marazion within 30 minutes.
Stay - The Accommodation...
Approached from the lane, a gate and twelve steps lead down to the entrance door which opens directly into a cosy sitting room with tile floor, comfortable lounge seating either side of the central fireplace with muli fuel burner and a sash window overlooking the front garden. From the sitting room a door opens into the narrow entrance hall with flagstone floor, door to garden and staircase to the first floor.
To one side of the hall is an open plan kitchen / breakfast room with a stripped timber floor and table and chairs arranged before the sash window overlooking the garden and a step up to the fitted galley kitchen with a tile floor and plenty of storage.
From the hall a narrow steep carpeted staircase with ten steps leads to the first floor where the staircase splits with a further step either side off which are two comfortably furnished carpeted bedrooms, a double and twin and a family bathroom W.C with shower over the bath, basin and heated towel rail.
A separate light annex to the front provides additional accommodation with a step up into an open plan living room with tile floor, windows overlooking the patio to the front, double bed to one side with a small kitchenette to the other and a door opening into an en-suite shower room W.C with step up into a glazed shower unit, basin and heated towel rail.
Outside parking is on the lane above the cottage which is better suited for a small to medium size car. Steps lead down to a small patio to the front with a path leading round the side and four uneven steps into the enclosed garden with a small lawn, garden furniture and granite steps up to the front door.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.
If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
