This centrally positioned yet tucked away Padstow property offers the bonus of a large, south facing sun terrace to the front.  In addition, the property comes with two off site dedicated parking spaces located down by the Camel trail entrance into Padstow from Wadebridge.  Those familiar with Padstow will appreciate that whilst the parking is not close by, the fact that you will have two dedicated car parking spaces at your disposal throughout your holiday, alleviates the pressure of finding a space to park in Padstow in the height of the season.

Entered through a gate way on Duke Street you are immediately struck by the spacious lime stone paved South facing terrace with garden furniture and pretty planting.

Once inside you will see the care and attention that the owner has put into the interior design and layout of this recently refurbished property. The stylish open plan living space provides ample comfortable easy seating focused around a striking feature fire place with multi fuel burner. A large dining table for six is positioned conveniently for the kitchen.  Off the dining area is the light, airy, modern kitchen with selection of usual appliances at your disposal. A useful, separate utility room which houses the laundry equipment and smart walk-in shower room WC complete the ground floor layout.

The split stair case with mid-landing leads up to the first floor where the three bedrooms including en suite shower room to the king bedroom and family bathroom WC can be found. To the left at the top of the stairs and down two steps is the family bathroom WC with feature bath, handheld shower attachment, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.  Directly in front of you is the king bedroom with shower en suite WC and super king bedroom both located at the front of the property looking down onto the terrace below. To the right at the top of the stairs and down two steps is the pretty twin bedroom located at the back of the property.

The Piddock is heated by gas central heating throughout with a multi fuel burner to compliment. Fuel for the fire is provided and with endless amounts of hot water, guests staying at The Piddock will be 'warm as toast'.

Being in the heart of Padstow you will be spoilt by the selection of quality eateries on the doorstep as well as an array of independent and high street stores for your convenience.

The foot ferry across to Rock is close by and with seven beaches all within a 5 minute drive of eachother you'll have a different beach to choose from every day of the week!

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
