Pretty front garden with a lovely enclosed rear patio garden with a sheltered paved terrace that gets the afternoon and evening sun and a side pedestrian gate. Garden furniture provided.

Set right on the edge of Newquay with beautiful sea views and a golden, sandy beach on your doorstep, it’s no surprise that holidays in Porth are so popular.

Families flock to the seaside village thanks to its soft, sandy beach, seasonal lifeguard cover and sheltered bathing waters. There’s a handful of shops and cafes, and a beachside bar, the Mermaid Inn, so you’ll hardly have to use your car - everything is within easy reach of both the beach and your holiday cottage.

If you decide one beach just isn’t enough, the South West Coast Path runs right past Porth, so you can walk along the headlands and find your favourite spot. Head westward to Newquay where you can take to the famously good surf on Fistral beach, book a lesson at one of the local surf schools or simply sit and watch the experts. Alternatively, set off eastwards to Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth. If peaceful, secluded beaches are your thing, you’ll pass Beacon Cove.. The walk down the cliffs to the cove is very tricky, but you might be rewarded by having the beach to yourself!

If the great British weather isn’t so great, you’ll find plenty of things to do in Newquay, including the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo, Trenance Garden and Leisure Park, Pirate’s Quest and Flambards.

To complete your Cornwall bucket list, as well as surfing, visiting the gorgeous beaches and walking the coastal path, you can set off on a fishing trip from Newquay harbour, tuck in to many Cornish pasties and cream teas, and indulge in Rick Stein’s famous fish and chips at Fistral beach.

There is unrestricted roadside parking directly outside the property.

May 2023

We loved our stay at Sunnynook. Had everything we need and great location. Crantock is our favourite beach, so visited twice on this occasion. Also visited Perranporth and Padstow. Would love to return soon.

September 2022

Yes really enjoyed my stay. I have been 3 times. Lovely welcome by Jenny and think great touch welcome pack and toys and treats for my dog Donny. Who is a star in your website. I unfortunately was the victim of fraud while I was there so had to leave a say early as my phone and cards were hacked. Wi Fi in the bungalow saved me as it allowed me to contact my friends by what's app.

July 2022

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunnynook so much so that we booked extra week. It was in ideal location - within 10 mins walk to beautiful Porth Beach and Gwenna Tea Rooms,as well as South West Coastal Path. If you catch the tides right you can walk on the sand all the way to Newquay Town. The bungalow itself was very clean and in a quiet residential area. Just right for a couple with or without canine friend.
