Please note: Please note pets are not accepted in this property

Just a short drive to Widemouth BaySandymouth Bay and Bude, Ponytails provides comfortable self-catering accommodation for four people on a working farm set in beautiful Cornish countryside. The property which is adjacent to the farmhouse looks out onto the lawn garden and pony paddock where the resident ponies Annie and Sugar reside.

There is generous parking for two cars on the private driveway to the front of the property. One step leads up into the entrance porch and a further step up into the hallway. Off to the left of the hallway is the large and very comfortable living room with ample easy seating, attractive feature fireplace with an open fire for the cooler evenings.  Off to the right of the hallway is the spacious twin bedroom with ample hanging and drawer space and television. The living room and twin bedroom both look out onto the garden and paddock.

At the back of the property is the galley style farmhouse kitchen with small utility room and dining area. The double bedroom with 4'6 double bed, ample hanging and drawer space as well as a wall mounted flat screen television is located off the dining room and again looks over the garden and paddock. A separate family bathroom WC with bath, overhead electric shower and wash hand basin completes the accommodation layout.

The village of Poundstock is an ancient village between Bude and Boscastle. Near the centre of the village in the churchyard is a Medieval Gild House which is the only one of its kind in Cornwall.  There are also a number of really good pubs serving food within a few miles drive of Poundstock.

With Widemouth Bay, Sandymouth Bay and Bude with its famous sea pool so easily accessible you may not have time to visit other places but if you do then the following places are all within a half hours drive of Ponytails and well worth a visit - Boscastle, Tintagel and Clovelly.

- Sorry, this property does not accept pets

Book a week or multiples of a week

  1. Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.

It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.

Customer Rating
Close
Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets
Close
There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks
Close
There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price

It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
