Within two miles of the surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand and just a 10 minute drive from Port Isaac, Tintagel and Boscastle on the spectacular north Cornish coast.

Treveusik, meaning Lucky Homestead in Cornish, is set in a rural location on the outskirts of the village of Delabole.  One of half a dozen properties forming Barton Farm, this stone and slate, freshly renovated, end of terrace barn conversion with inverted accommodation is family friendly and provides an ideal touring base for exploring both North Cornwall and Bodmin Moor.

Approached from the rear of the property where there is ample parking on the gravel for up to 4 cars, a couple of steps lead up to a securely fenced and gated garden which includes a large slate paved terrace and small lawn.  An oak stable door leads in to a spacious entrance hall with high ceilings and tiled floors.

The ground floor comprises of four spacious bedrooms with laminate wood flooring, a family bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath, and a utility room.  The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room W.C with hand basin, there are two twin bedded rooms with 2ft 6in zip linked beds and a further double bedroom with kingsize bed overlooking the rear terrace. 

A door leads through to a front hallway which includes a cloakroom W. C. with hand basin and the front door.  Carpeted stairs lead up from the front hall to the large open-plan first floor accommodation with lots of natural daylight coming through dual aspect windows and a large velux skylight.  With sanded and varnished flooring throughout the room includes a wood burning stove set on a slate hearth. 

To one side is the lounge area with a comfortable leather corner settee and two chairs facing French Windows that open inwards with a Juliet balcony.  To the other side is a fully fitted kitchen with range cooker incorporating a gas hob and dual electric ovens, a large farmhouse dining table with bench seats and farmhouse chairs, and rural views overlooking farm buildings towards Rough Tor in the distance. 

Nearby Delabole has a village store, P.O., garage, hairdresser and public house all within a mile of the property as are the local playing fields and Ferndale coarse fishery.  The nearest beach at Trebarwith Strand is just a 5 minute drive or the beautiful sandy beaches at Polzeath and Rock are 20 minutes by car. 

Camelford, 3 miles, has a sports centre with swimming pool, golf club and a small selection of shops and pubs.  The historic village of Tintagel, long associated with King Arthur is about 4 miles, and the picturesque harbours at Boscastle and Port Isaac are 6 miles respectively.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
