Little Pol is set in an elevated position above the picturesque fishing village of Boscastle on the North Cornish Coast. The property is accessed via a shared driveway with two other cottages and offers quiet and spacious accommodation for a couple. With easy access to the South West Coast Path and many of the popular destinations in this part of Cornwall Little Pol is perfectly positioned for either touring or relaxing.

With a reserved parking space for one car directly outside the barn two steps and door open into a light and spacious living area with laminate flooring, comfortable lounge seating arranged in front of picture window, a round dining table and two chairs and a modern fitted kitchen completing the living area. From the kitchen two steps lead into the comfortably furnished bedroom with exposed beams, laminate floor and a window with views over the adjoining farmland and partial sea views beyond. The kingsize bed can be split to accommodate two 3ft single beds with an en-suite shower room WC with tile floor, heated towel rail and step up into the shower completing the accommodation.

Little Pol shares the drive and parking with Big Pol opposite and an opening in the hedge from the parking area leads to the small grassed area to the side with lovely sea views. Pets will need to be supervised as the garden is open and backs onto the garden for Big Pol.

Boscastle with its medieval past and natural harbour is 1.2 miles by car or a twenty minute walk and has a selection of pubs, cafes, shops, galleries and a well known farm shop. There are plenty of walks coastal and inland from the village with the South West Coast path linking Crackington Haven to the north and Tintagel to the south. The beaches at Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven are within 5 miles and cycling on the Camel Trail, Cardinham Woods and Lanhydrock all within driving distance. Further afield are the popular fishing villages of Port Isaac and Padstow and the historic houses of Prideaux Place and Lanhydrock.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
