Please note: This property welcomes 2 small or medium size dogs. Parking for 2 small cars or 1 large. Internet cafe just 50yds away!

Little Galleon is a charming and quirky end of terrace cottage quietly tucked away in the heart of Penzance. The cottage is ideally positioned for accessing the town itself with busy high street and selection of restaurants all within an easy walk of the property. Unusual for such a centrally positioned property, Little Galleon offers parking for two small cars or one large car directly in front of the property. The cottage is set over three levels with the top floor offering views out across the rooftops out to the bay and across to St Michaels Mount.

Entering the cottage via a useful porch you enter the cosy lounge with striking feature stone wall, easy seating, window seat and log burner effect electric fire. From the lounge you will find the separate dining room with doors out onto a small, sunny courtyard. Off the dining room is the galley style kitchen.

From the dining room a steep flight of stairs leads up to the first floor where the double bedroom at the front of the property and family bathroom WC to the rear can be found. The bath has an overhead electric shower as well as wash hand basin and WC.

A further steep flight of stairs leads up from the first floor landing to the top floor twin bedroom with views over the rooftops towards the bay and beyond.

The cottage is heated via night storage heating.

Just 50 yards away on Chapel Street is Blacks Internet Cafe Bar where great food and drink can also be purchased throughout the day and evening.

The bonus of staying in Penzance is that a number of the County's most beautiful 'must visit' spots are within such easy reach.  The quaint fishing village of Mousehole is just over 3 miles away, St Michaels Mount 5 miles and Lands' End and St Ives both less than 10 miles away. The Penzance railway and coach stations are just a few minutes' walk away with the Scillonian ferry to the Isles of Scilly running frequently throughout the holiday season again closeby.

Sleeps
Close
When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.
Customer Rating
Close
Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets
Close
There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks
Close
There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price

Reservations

Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) can only be 'Reserved' (ie they cannot be booked) at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name on a first come first served basis until availability and pricing has been agreed.

It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
