Experience - The Area...

Lavender is a beautifully presented, two bedroom bungalow situated in an elevated position within walking distance of Wadebridge town and the Camel bicycle trail. In addition, a selection of North Cornwall's finest golden sandy beaches are all easily accessed by car too. Lavender benefits from two dedicated parking spaces located directly opposite the property.

The beaches at Polzeath, RockTrevone and Harlyn are all within a 20 minute drive of Wadebridge with the picturesque harbours at Padstow and Port Isaac both 8 miles away. The Royal Cornwall Showground is just a ten minute walk from Lavender.

Stay - The Accommodation...

On entering Lavender you will be immediately struck by the light, bright and modern interior. Just off to the right of the hallway is the well equipped kitchen with all the usual appliances included for your convenience.  Further along on the right to the rear of the property is the comfortable lounge and dining room with French patio doors leading out onto the enclosed patio with raised (six wooden steps) wooden decked area and play room with table football.

Next to the lounge is the attractively presented double bedroom with king size bed and ample wardrobe space to serve both bedrooms. The pretty twin bedroom is at the front of the property with the spacious family shower room WC with large shower cubicle (sliding door) and thermostatically controlled Miras shower, large wash basin and heated towel rail in-between the two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are carpeted with the tile effect vinyl flooring present in the shower room and hallway.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

Loyalty Discount

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
