With the choice of ten sandy beaches on the Lizard Peninsula all within a 30 minute drive and just four miles from the wooded creeks and walks on the Helford River, this well-appointed garden studio is located in a quiet country setting on the owner's smallholding where they keep a variety of animals including sheep, alpacas and miniature ponies.

From the hard standing parking area outside the property a small step and threshold open into a small double glazed entrance porch with a further glazed door a step leading into a bright and well finished living room with a modern well fitted kitchen with a tile effect vinyl floor opening into the living area with oak flooring, dining table and two chairs and a leather sofa arranged before a wood burning stove with double glazed French doors onto the enclosed patio and countryside views. To the side of the living room a door opens into the carpeted double bedroom with a fully tiled en-suite shower room W.C with basin and heated towel rail.

A level path from the parking area leads round the side of the property to a small gate which opens onto the enclosed patio with a built in BBQ, comfortable garden furniture overlooking the owners paddocks where you will see Yogi & Booboo the alpacas, Hobnob and Harry the miniature Shetland ponies grazing and enjoying the countryside views beyond.

St Martin the nearest village only 2.5 miles has a pub, garage and small shop. The traditional market town of Helston with a larger selection of shops, pubs and a supermarket is a 30 minute drive. There are numerous sandy beaches and cliff walks on three sides of the peninsula, the nearest is the lovely village of Coverack about 5 miles away with Porthleven and Mullion within a 25 minute drive.

The Lizard Point with the oldest and most southerly mainland lighthouse is 9 miles away and Trelowarren Estate and Gardens nearby has a woodland walk, restaurant and art gallery. Mullion golf club (handicap certificate required), the National Seal Sanctuary and Roskillys Ice Cream Farm are a short drive.

Sleeps
Close
When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.
Customer Rating
Close
Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets
Close
There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks
Close
There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price

Reservations
Close
Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) can only be 'Reserved' (ie they cannot be booked) at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name on a first come first served basis until availability and pricing has been agreed.

It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
