With views out across rolling countryside down towards St Michaels Mount and the sea, Higher Tremeneere Farmhouse provides the perfect base for a busy family holiday or relaxing week away from it all.

Accessed from the front, the property is entered via the large farmhouse dining room with tiled floor and feature Rayburn (not in use).  Off the dining room to the right is the comfortably furnished and carpeted living room with two three seater sofas, wall mounted television and wood burner. At the back of the property on the ground floor is the kitchen breakfast room with all the ususal appliances provided for your convenience.  Outside to the rear of the property is a small gravel courtyard for the drying of washing and storage of bicycles etc.

A pine staircase leads upstairs from the dining room to the sleeping acommodation.  At the top of the stairs is a small shower room WC with wash hand basin.  To the right of the landing is the first of two double bedrooms with lovely views and feature bath ensuite WC with wash hand basin.  A pretty twin bedroom with window seats to take in the lovely views is next.  Finally, one step up into the second and very spacious double bedroom again with views and benefiting from a shower WC ensuite.  There is plenty of drawer and hanging space across the three bedrooms with the three rooms being carpeted for your comfort.

Outside of the main holiday season (except July and August) the property is heated by oil fired central heating. A basket of logs is provided with the owners compliments at the commencement of your stay with additional logs if required, easily purchased locally.

To the front of the farmhouse outside is a raised decked area to take in the views. A picnic bench, parasol and charcoal barbecue (charcoal not included) are provided. A large lawn garden leads down from the decked area to the two private parking spaces provided.

The little village of Ludgvan has a traditional Cornish pub, The White Hart, serving food throughout the day and evening.

The seaside town of Penzance and the lovely village of Marazion, home to St Michaels Mount, are approximately 3 miles respectively. The popular town and artists favourite destination St Ives, is a fifteen minute drive from Higher Tremeneere Farmhouse.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

Loyalty Discount

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
