Located within walking distance of the quaint village of Charlestown this beautifully presented ground floor apartment is part of an exclusive development converted from a former foundry. The property is perfectly positioned for exploring Cornwall and the South West Coast Path.

The pedestrian entrance to the property is through the arched glass doors facing the main road, where there is off road parking in addition to the allocated parking space, into a communal lobby and up four carpeted steps to a private front door which opens into a carpeted hallway. The stylishly decorated accommodation comprises a family bathroom with shower over the bath, W.C, basin and heated towel rail and two carpeted bedrooms both with views of the original old foundry waterwheel. The master bedroom has a king-size double bed, a mirror fronted walk-in wardrobe with sliding doors, TV and en-suite shower room W.C with hand basin and heated towel rail, and a twin bedroom with zip link beds providing the option of an additional double bedroom and a mirror fronted wardrobe with sliding doors.

An L shaped open plan room
encompasses a fully equipped modern kitchen with integrated appliances, adjacent dining area with table and chairs to seat six and a comfortably furnished sitting room comprising two fabric recliner settees and French Doors opening to a Juliette balcony overlooking the cobbled parking area and development to the rear.

To the rear of the property there is a cobbled parking area where there is one allocated parking space and a glass door leads through a carpeted corridor to the private front door. This entrance provides level access to the property.

The picturesque harbour village of Charlestown offers restaurants, pubs, some small gift shops, cafe's, a children's playground, a small stony beach and the Shipwreck and Heritage Centre all within a 10 minute walk. The fishing villages of Mevagissey and Fowey are both within 7 miles and offer shopping, pubs and restaurants.

The nearest town of St Austell is less than 2 miles away and has an assortment of shopping, a cinema, a leisure centre and a main line railway station which is linked with the local bus service. The beaches of Par and Porthpean are within a 15 minute drive. There are several golf courses close by including Porthpean, within 2 miles and Carlyon Bay within a 5 minute drive. For garden lovers the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Pine Lodge gardens are within a short drive and the Eden Project is within a 10 minute drive.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
