Just 200 metres from the popular family beach at Porth and within a short drive of some of the North Cornish coast's other beautiful beaches such as Watergate Bay and the famous surfing beach Fistral in Newquay. This cosy two bedroom ground floor apartment has been tastefully refurbished to provide modern, comfortable, self-catering accommodation being ideally suited for a couple or family holiday. Gulls Nest is one of eight apartments and is located in the pleasant residential area of Porth which is located on the outskirts of Newquay.

One step up onto the outside porch and one shallow step up into the open plan living area. Comfortable easy seating and dining for four guests with an attractive, well equipped kitchen completing the open plan space. Wall mounted electric panel heating to the open plan area.

The two bedrooms (double and twin) and family shower room WC are accessed off the living area. A useful walk-in wardrobe for hanging clothes and general storage is located just off the living area also.

It is possible to park directly outside the apartment to unload. There is plenty of unrestricted parking on the quiet adjoining road. To the rear of the apartment is a communal space with drying lines for washing.

Porth is located on the outskirts of Newquay which is within a 20 minute walk or short drive of the property.

A selection of fabulous North Cornish coast beaches such as Watergate Bay, Mawgan Porth, Fistral and Crantock are within a 15 minute (maximum) drive of Porth.

The harbour town of Padstow is a 30 minute drive North of Porth with the famous Eden Project on the South Coast of the County again just 30 minutes by car.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Definitions

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
