Please note: The property has an electric oven and induction hob. Ground floor king bed can be made up as twin. Two small/medium or one large dog accepted.

A modern and very comfortable family holiday home nestled in the heart of Crantock village and within a quarter of a miles walk of the beach. Two popular pubs and a handy convenience store are right on the doorstep with easy access onto the Cornish coastal footpath where you can discover the lesser known but equally beautiful beaches this area has to offer.

Flip Flops is an end of terrace, centrally heated property with the accommodation set across three floors.

To the ground floor you will find a bedroom with a king size zip and link bed and shower en suite, a twin bedroom and a large family bathroom WC. A carpeted staircase leads up to the first floor.

The first floor is where the open plan living room, dining area and well equipped kitchen can be found. Patio doors from the kitchen lead out into the enclosed rear garden with sunny patio, charcoal barbecue and garden furniture.

Off the living area, a door opens to an internal staircase which leads up to the top floor where a second double bedroom with separate dressing room and private bathroom WC are located.

Limited parking exists to the front of the property and is on a first come first served basis however, a parking permit is provided for guests staying at Flip Flops for the nearby village hall car park which is located just 100 yards up the road.

Crantock village has a church, small shops, tea gardens and two pubs which offer food.

The holiday resort of Newquay is 3 miles by road and has a good selection of shops, cinema, a rail and coach station and many attractions including the Zoo, Waterworld Leisure Centre and Blue Reef Aquarium.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

Pricing information

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
