Within a 15 minute drive of the maritime town of Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro, this attractively renovated, traditional terraced cottage is set in a quiet village lane in the heart of the peaceful village of Mylor Bridge.

Just a couple of minutes walk from the tidal inlet leading off the Falmouth Estuary, Crumpet Cottage offers a good base from which to explore both country and creekside walks and is ideally situated for touring the county by car.

Entered directly from the lane, a couple of granite steps lead up to the front door which opens to a useful slate floored lobby with a glazed roof, cloaks area and one step up to an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath.

From the lobby an inner door opens to a well equipped, L shaped kitchen/dining room with a dining suite and a run of fitted maple units along one wall.  Leading off to one side, one step leads down to a warm and cosy sitting room with cottage style lounge seating and an electric fire in the hearth.

Rather steep and narrow carpeted stairs lead directly up from the dining area to two pretty bedrooms with a double and twin beds respectively, both with corner vanity basins and pleasant views of the neighbouring gardens. 

On the opposite side of the lane (a no through road) there is a tarmac parking area with space for one car and from here, half a dozen gated steps lead up to a long lawned garden with a shrub border.  Pets and young children will require supervision outside and there is further parking available in the free village car park nearby.

The village pub, local shops and Mylor's tidal creek are only a couple of minutes walk away, and Mylor Harbour, with watersport facilities and home to the renowned Pandora Inn is 2 miles.

The attractive resort of Falmouth with a variety of glorious sandy beaches is less than 5 miles and there is also a plenitude of public and National Trust gardens to visit in the area.
 
The cathedral city of Truro is 8 miles, there is an 18 hole parkland golf course nearby and Bissoe bike hire have a good selection of cycles to explore the picturesque Coast to Coast cycle trail.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Satisfactory
  4. Below standard
  5. Poor
There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are graded "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £24 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 895 354 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests returning for a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Short breaks

There are few better places to take a short break than in Cornwall. They can frequently be arranged, mainly out of season though, for periods to suit guest's particular requirements, but there is always a minimum rental, for practical reasons.

Cornwall in the early Spring is usually blessed with fine warm weather. It is this climate which brings out the wild flowers and spectacular gardens which make this time of year such an ideal one for a holiday. During July and August and other busy times of the year short break holidays are normally only available at short notice, but please enquire and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If short breaks are available, the cost of a short break is calculated as follows:
3 nights: 70% of weekly rental price
4 nights: 80% of weekly rental price
5 nights: 90% of weekly rental price
6 nights: 100% of weekly rental price
