They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and while that might not be the case for every invention out there, this cool invention definitely qualifies as useful. The best thing about this is the combination of a simple product we know and use every day into a new convenient idea.
Key safes are a very useful and convenient tool to allow visitors to gain access to a property at any time of day or night, and more often than not, they are fastened to an outside wall or hidden place.
Despite the manufacturer’s claim of being rust free and specially coated to resist corrosion, due to our maritime climate, they struggle to withstand the elements and can suffer from dampness.
On a recent visit to a coastal property where I had to gain access via a key safe; I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when I first saw this key safe encased inside a Tupperware box. The base of the box is fastened to the wall and the lid is attached by cable ties for ease of access whatever the weather.
I definitely think these owners may have been a fan of Blue Peter in their youth!
