Description

Experience - The Area...

With far reaching sea views across Lamorna Cove to the Lizard and with the South West Coast Path on your doorstep, this light and airy self contained apartment with double glazed picture windows is on the first floor above a seasonal beach cafe.

There is a gift shop/beach cafe open until 8.30pm in season beneath the apartment, boat hire and a small sandy beach revealed at low tide where dinghies can be launched and trailer parking is available on request.  Guests staying at Lamorna Sea View receive a 20% discount on all food and drink purchased from the cafe and room service can also be arranged!

The Wink, the local pub, is about a 10 minute walk up the valley as is The Cove Cornwall which is open to non-residents. St Buryan, 3 miles, has a church, village store/P.O., pub and garage, and for a wider selection of amenities, the seaside town of Penzance is about a 15 minute drive with a ferry service to the Isles of Scilly.

There are stunning cliff walks along this dramatic coastline both east and west with wonderful views of the sea, flowers and birdlife, directly from your doorstep. It is also an excellent base for exploring the far west of Cornwall by car and an easy drive to Mousehole, Newlyn, the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno and only a little further to Sennen Cove and St Ives.

Stay - The Accommodation...

Set at the bottom of a long tree shaded lane which leads to the small picturesque granite harbour, an external spiral staircase leads up to a south facing roof terrace, perfect for enjoying an alfresco meal, with unsurpassed views of the sea and cove through a glass balustrade.

From here, patio doors and one step lead directly into an open plan, split level living room with a dining suite and comfortable lounge seating, all of which have panoramic views of the sea, cliffs and coastline from three large windows.

One step then continues up to a neatly fitted galley kitchen with a ceramic four ring hob, electric oven and microwave. Beyond is a lovely bedroom with a kingsize double where it is possible to enjoy the fine sea views without getting out of bed, and a fully tiled en-suite shower room W.C. with hand basin completes the accommodation.

A parking permit for one car is provided for the harbour car park adjacent to the property.

The Wink, the local pub, is about a 10 minute walk up the valley as is The Cove Cornwall which is open to non-residents. "A beautiful location on the rugged Cornish coastline. Access to the South West path and a fantastic apartment to relax after a day of adventure, reading tales of shipwrecks as the sun goes down and the waves crash against the rocks. A special place, a true retreat where you can get away from it all." Miss H Kenyon
"Amazing views from all windows. You could not be nearer the sea and we witnessed amazing waves. A wonderful relaxing place, loved it. " Mrs J Glinn
"Beautiful, tranquil and cosy. Uninterrupted views and the sound of the sea. Great location for sightseeing or simply reading." Mr & Mrs J Hance
"A well situated and comfortable apartment with fantastic views of the cove. Very friendly staff in the Cove Cafe below serving generous portions of locally prepared foods (especially the crab and fish soup) and easy parking." Mr M Owen
"Our overall experience at Lamorna Lookout was absolutely great. The flat was comfortable and was in a superb location. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A quiet un-commercialised area of Cornwall, just right for us." Mrs S J Booth
