Mevagissey is on the South West Coast path and The Coast & Clay Cycle Trail.
St Austell is only 6 miles away offering a cinema, leisure centre, golf course and the famous St Austell Brewery. The beaches at Porthpean and Gorran Haven on the South coast are both within 5 miles. The Lost Gardens of Heligan can be reached by footpath or a few minutes by car and the Eden project is a 20 minute drive.
