Description

Experience - The Area...

Just a 10 minute drive from the maritime town of Falmouth which is home to Henry VIIIs Pendennis Castle, Trenoweth Vean Cottages are set in an elevated position just outside the village of Mabe with far reaching views of the surrounding countryside.  To one side of a country lane, these three sympathetically converted cottages are set in a row adjacent to the owners farmhouse offering comfortable year round holiday accommodation with the added benefit of double glazing.

The village of Mabe, half a mile, has a post office / stores and a pub which offers a good selection of pub food, there is a large supermarket at Penryn 5 minutes drive, and the sandy beaches of Falmouth Bay are approximately 5 miles. There is a pleasant circular walk around Argal Reservoir nearby which is noted for its wildlife and is a well-stocked coarse fishery, and Stithians Lake Country Park about 4 miles away has a range of water-based activities including sailing, windsurfing and kayaking.

The Flicka Foundation Horse and Donkey Sanctuary is close by and the glorious gardens of Penjerrick, Glendurgan and Trebah, on the banks of the Helford River, are less than a 15 minute drive away. Each cottage has its own individual character but there are many similar features. Low walled patio gardens are laid out in front of the row and there is a shared lawned garden and a drying area for each at the rear. There is ample parking space for one car per property.

SHARED FEATURES: Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Stay - The Accommodation...

With a dual aspect from the bedroom overlooking the surrounding countryside, Tom Thumb is entered by a half glazed stable door which leads directly into the open plan beamed living room.

There is comfortable lounge seating, a small pine dining suite, and a neatly fitted kitchen area at the rear, adjacent to the stable door opening to the shared gravel terrace and raised lawned garden.

Carpeted stairs lead up from the living room to the first floor landing where there are a cheerful bedroom with a 5ft double bed and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, heated towel rail and a shower over a half size bath.

Situated 10 minutes out of Falmouth, easy enough to reach local amenities. A lovely quaint little cottage, surrounded by fields. Lovely to wake up in the morning to silence and the occasional noise from the donkey sanctuary over the road. - Mr M Lehan
"The property is one of 3 set in a farmyard. The property was very clean and comfortable. The owner met us and was very welcoming with a pot of tea and cake. There is a laundry on site. This is in a lovely setting and is very cosy. " Mr M Davis
