Description

Experience -  The Area...
Located in a peaceful south facing rural setting on the edge of the village of St Mabyn is this charming four-bedroom detached two hundred year old family home. With woodland and rural views and access to some peaceful walks from your doorstep this is a holiday home that will take you away from the busyness of day to day life.

Only a mile by country lane is the village of St Mabyn with a traditional pub serving great food making use of delicious local produce, a community shop with a post office, a 15th century church and playground for the children.

The town of Wadebridge which straddles the river Camel is a twelve minute journey by car where you can sit and enjoy some traditional shopping, enjoy a bit to eat in one of the many cafes/pubs or restaurants and buy local produce from the butcher, baker & greengrocer for you to cook back at little Trevisquite. With Farm shops at St Kew and Padstow you are not short of fresh local produce to enjoy.

Holidaying in North Cornwall offers so many opportunities for families and couples with the famous dramatic North Cornish coastline providing some spectacular coastal walks for all abilities, beaches to rival those anywhere in the world with surfing and other watersports to enjoy.

For keen walkers Bodmin Moor made up of large tracts of unenclosed moor and granite tors is close by with the moorland villages of St Breward & Blisland both with traditional pubs offer some great moorland walks.

For keen cyclists you can enjoy the many country lanes which connect St Mabyn, St Tudy, St Kew and Chapel Amble. Alternatively, you have the Camel Trail which provides a gentler cycling experience through the Cornish countryside along an 18 mile stretch of a disused railway line between Wenford Bridge, Bodmin, Wadebridge and end up in Padstow. 

Padstow, Port Isaac, Rock are all within thirteen miles of Little Trevisquite and have a wonderful selection of well know restaurants including Rick Stein, Natahn Outlaw and Paul Ainsworth.

Beaches can be  found at Rock, Polzeath, Lundy Bay, Daymer Bay, Tregirls and Hawkers Cove are all within a thirty minute drive.  
    
Stay - The Accommodation...
With parking for up to four cars to the rear of the property on a gravel surface you enter Little Trevisquite by a back door with a small step entering into the most fantastic, spacious kitchen space with a Cornish range and double electric oven with ceramic hob for the larger parties, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. Two steps lead to large utility room with a washing machine and separate tumble dryer. A smart walk in shower WC is found off the utility. A light Paved stone flooring to the kitchen and utility with slate flooring to the shower room benefit from underfloor heating.

Off the kitchen is the main living and dining room with comfy sofas, farmhouse dining table and chairs, attractive engineered oak wooden flooring, splendid views down across the neighbouring fields from the dining room and a wood burning stove in the living room for those cosy nights in with underfloor heating throughout. 

Out from the living room into the tiled hallway with front door leading out into the pretty and private garden with small lawn, outdoor furniture and shrubs. Off the hallway at the bottom of the stairs is a second sitting room/ snug which is carpeted and makes a great space for families to gather and play games. Both rooms benefit from televisions with a smart tv in the main living room.

A Cornish split carpeted staircase leads up to the sleeping accommodation. At the top of the stairs to the left and up a further four steps is a large king size bedroom with views over the front garden and beyond. To the right of the main staircase and up a further four steps is a good size single bedroom to the front, a twin bedroom with 2'6 single beds and a further bedroom with double bed and with wash basin. 

All bedrooms are carpeted and have sash windows overlooking the front garden. There is ample hanging and drawer space across the four bedrooms.  At the end of the landing is a family bathroom WC with bath, overhead electric shower, heated towel rail, basin and a tiled floor.

Outside is a pretty private garden with small lawn, outdoor furniture and shrubs and the benefit of a grassy paddock which guests are permitted to use for exercising their dogs as well as covered storage for bikes & beach gear.

Little Trevisquite is the perfect base for a family to gather, recharge and enjoy the rural location and home comforts.
