A dog-friendly day out to Cawsand and Kingsand

Cawsand and Kingsand are located on the far south east coast of Cornwall. Familiar with the area, our property specialists Ali and Charmian took Lucy the Westie along to put these popular places through their pet friendly paces.

These historical fishing villages remain relatively unspoilt. They are very easy to wander around, and both have a good selection of dog-friendly cafés and pubs, as well as plenty of public conveniences too.

Parking for both Cawsand and Kingsand is also good, with the larger car park at Cawsand costing £3.40 for up to three hours.

The viaduct at Calstock is very interesting to see, something we were both aware of but had never seen in person. Quite a bit of walking is involved if you plan on seeing these places in detail, so this day out may not be suited for those with limited mobility. It’s a great area for dog walking, Lucy was very tired by the end of the trip.

After leaving Cawsand and Kingsand, we drove along part of the very scenic Rame Head Peninsula with jaw dropping views across the cliffs and beyond (above).
