Best activities to do in south Cornwall for kids

Whether you have young kids in tow or the more mature teenager, there’s many attractions in south Cornwall to suit everyone. From purpose-built play centres to converted quarries and a shiny new cinema, read on to find out the best places to take your kids for a day out in south Cornwall.

Kidzworld

Kidzworld, the all weather attraction with over 54,000 sq ft of pleasure is the perfect place to take your kids to let off some steam. With no height restriction there’s nothing to stop you from joining in as well.

With a variety of different play areas including the digital play wall, dodgems and mini golf the entry price is all inclusive so your kids are free to move around the different play areas as and when they choose.

There is even a great space for babies and toddlers and an interactive sensory zone with colour changing fibre optics, mirror balls and soft music.

Adrenalin Quarry

Jump off a 50m cliff and fly at speeds of up to 40 mph on the UK’s largest zip wire. Feel the rush of the wind in your face and the exhilaration of riding on one of the two parallel wires that cross the flooded disused quarry in Liskeard.

Whether its a young child or a grandparent, terrified of heights or are always chasing the next buzz, this will truly be a memorable experience. With karting, coasteering and a water park all onsite, there’s plenty to fill your day whatever your favoured activity.

White River Cinema

The old faithful cinema will never let you down, especially on a rainy day. One of Cornwall’s newest and largest cinemas is located in St Austell, called White River Cinema.

The cinema has four auditoriums and even has 3D viewing availability. It shows all the latest major films, so you will no doubt find something the whole family can agree on.
