Christmas shopping in Cornwall

Whether you’re planning to create that indulgent food hamper full of cheese, cider and fudge, or selecting a delicate handmade ornament for the tree back at home – we’re certain you’ll find just what you’re looking for in Cornwall this Christmas.

Late night shopping

From mid-November, Cornwall’s capital city of Truro hosts late night shopping every Wednesday evening, with many shops staying open until around 9pm and stall holders lining the streets with colour.

Aside from our major city, many smaller Cornish towns also hold late night shopping events which attract lots of the locals and creates a wonderful festive atmosphere.

Some of our favourites include Wadebridge, Falmouth and Penzance.

Cornwall Macmillan Christmas Fair at The Eden Project

The Eden Project hosts one of Cornwall’s biggest Christmas Fairs’, an event that not only puts you in the festive spirit, but also raises money to help cancer patients in Cornwall.

There’s a huge range of festive food and gift offerings from local producers on offer, so you can have a great family day out in the biomes, and also tick-off those all important items from the present list.

Be the first through the doors and stay in one of our self-catering cottages the St Austell Bay area.

Top tip: many Cornish towns are full of boutique shops and independents trying their best to stock unique Christmas presents, drawing customers away from online shopping. Some local councils offer free parking in the towns on certain days during the build up to Christmas, so make sure to keep an eye on local news and social media to find out when these might be taking place.
