Halloweden at The Eden Project: October half term

Each year, The Eden Project never fails to host a fantastic spooky event for Halloween. For Halloweden, there will be an abundance of activities for families to get stuck into, from potion making and pumpkin carving, to getting to meet mythical creatures and dragon keepers. The Little Monsters’ Ball is sure to be a highlight, where little ones can boogie the night away in the Mediterranean Biome.

For those who have children with autism, sensory and communication needs, or learning disabilities, The Eden Project hosts relaxed sessions where children can still benefit from the activities happening during Halloweden with a little extra one-on-one time.

The Dead of Night Dance – Rogue Theatre: 19-31 October

Celebrated open air theatre company, Rogue Theatre, will definitely be providing a treat this Halloween with their play, The Dead of Night Dance. Brave audience members of all ages can follow the path through Tehidy Woods to find themselves in the land of the dead, where they can marvel at the storytelling, dance and live music held deep within.

Fancy dress is encouraged, while face painting will be available to ensure audience members can look as frightful as the performers. Hot vegetable woodland stew from a bubbling cauldron will be available to buy and blankets are recommended.

Halloween Tricks & Treats Firework Spectacular at Flambards: 24 October

There’s plenty going on at Flambards Theme Park this October. With sinister rides, a pumpkin trail in the Victorian Village and notorious sweet treats on offer, there’s endless fun to be had at this family friendly attraction in Helston.

At night, admire the amazing firework display before showing off some dance moves at the all-entertaining Robbie Williams Tribute Show.

Newquay’s Halloween Zombie Crawl: 26 October

Gory zombies, ghoulish face paints, a devilish disco and a terrifying performance from Titan the Robot is what to expect at this annual street event in Newquay.

Welcoming all ages, this zombie crawl is packed full of activities to entertain the whole family, where a dance workshop at The Cribbar will help participating zombies learn some monstrous moves, before striding out onto the streets of Newquay. Afterwards, Hotel Victoria will be hosting a family disco.

Pick your own pumpkins at Trevaskis Farm

Throughout autumn, Trevaskis Farm welcomes visitors to pick their own pumpkins. A great way to spend a Cornish day out, while also boosting local economy and produce, families can delight in treading through autumnal fields on the lookout for their perfect pumpkin. Even better, Trevaskis Farm lets visitors pick as many pumpkins as they like.

Afterwards, when it’s time to carve those pumpkins, retreat back to one of our cosy cottages and sit by the fireside with a warming cup of hot chocolate.
