Walk beside the River Menalhyl which flows through a shady woodland walkway – remember your wellingtons though as it can get a bit muddy, and waterproofs may also be a good idea if your dog enjoys the water. The summer months bring this walk to life with the area blooming in wildflowers and the scent of wild garlic strong in the air.

Still retaining their traditional character, the villages of Kingsand and Cawsand situated on the Rame Peninsula are popular with tourists. They are untouched by time with a fascinating smuggling and fishing past.

Port Isaac is well known as being the filming location for the hit series Doc Martin. The area is frequently chosen as a location for film and TV due to the authentic look and feel of old Cornwall.

The village is situated in a narrow sheltered valley with white washed houses clinging to the steep hillsides. The old centre consists of 18th and 19th century cottages with winding narrow alleyways between the shops, houses and restaurants.

Fisherman still set off daily from the harbour, heading out to sea as they have done for hundreds of years.  Supplying the local restaurants and café’s with fresh fish and seafood on their return.

The picture postcard village of Fowey is steeped with a maritime history that dates back to the Middle Ages.

Situated at the mouth of the River Fowey, the village has grown over the years and now stretches for about a mile along the river bank.

The area remains a working harbour and is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  Rows of pastel-coloured terraced houses sit along the steep hillsides looking over the bay.  The village has a large selection of galleries, shops, and restaurants to entertain all ages.
