Low Tide Experience

1st September 2019

This unique event kicks off the start of the Taste of Scilly festival. Usually submerged in water, the sandbar between Bryher and Tresco turns into the best beach venue for an annual festival, relying on the tide like no other event.

With entertainment, games, live music and the last of the summer sun, this is an event for friends, loved ones, and the entire family to enjoy. A truly unique pop-up festival, complete with gin and Prosecco bars, a beef feast, and fresh seafood bar. Look out for this event next year.

Taste of Scilly Festival

1st September – 31st September 2019

Taste of Scilly is an annual food festival which takes place every September, while the sea is still warm, the beaches are quieter, and the seasons are set to change. With an entire month dedicated to local food, live entertainment and island activities, this exciting festival is guaranteed to have something for everyone to enjoy.

There’s all sorts to get stuck into during Taste of Scilly. Local businesses are on hand with only the best local produce for you to try, spanning restaurants, cafes and good old fashioned pubs. You can even take a trip on an evening supper boat, delighting in authentic Scilly food, or go on a tour of the Scilly Spirit Distillery.

With several opportunities to hop from island to island, this festival is a great way to experience island life. From fresh seafood, where you’re sure to glimpse a few mussels and shellfish by the bucketload, to meat and vegetables sourced from the islands, this is the ultimate food festival near the sea.

Explore the uninhabited island of Teän

12th September 2019

Book your place to secure a unique opportunity to visit Teän, one of Scilly’s uninhabited islands full of wildlife, history and breathtaking views.

With a tour guide to accompany you, walk across the island and take in the sights of Teän, wildlife and signs of earlier ancestors. At the end of the walk, you can help protect the planet and local sea life with a beach clean session before heading back to the boat, led by the Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust.

Hops and Apples Festival

14th and 15th September 2019

The New Inn is a spectacular pub on Tresco Island. This weekend in September marks its annual Hops and Apples Festival, celebrating a love of all things cider and ale with support from Cornwall’s very own St Austell Brewery. There are even bottled brews from across the globe to try at this much loved event, making this the ultimate cider and ale experience accompanied by live music and great food.

Gallery Tresco: The Best of the Rest Show

20th September 2019

This event sees the opening of Tresco Island’s latest exhibition. Starting at 6pm, take in local artists’ work and admire paintings inspired by Scilly’s coastal islands with a glass of wine in hand. From established artists to inspiring new-comers with a flair for talent, this event is a must for all art lovers.

Truro School of Cookery Demonstration and Dining Excellence

21st and 22nd September 2019

Delight in the delicious food demonstrations from Truro School of Cookery while learning something new at Hell Bay. Assistant head chef of the cookery school, AJ Turner, will be creating a selection of perfect dishes from ingredients grown and reared across the Isles of Scilly.

Following the demonstration, you will be served a special three course dinner, while enjoying a selection of fantastic wine. Afterwards, you will be given the recipes used at the demonstration, so you can treasure a part of island life at home after your visit.

Walk Scilly Long Weekend

10th-14th October 2019

October marks the beginning of the Isles of Scilly’s quieter period, offering visitors a clearer picture of island life throughout the autumn season.
