Take a boat trip to nearby Fowey with its bustling town, glorious beaches and stunning estuary teeming with wildlife. Further adventure can be found at the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project and boating historians will be fascinated by Charlestown. The Shipwreck Centre, itself located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has a substantial collection of private artefacts, from ancient Egyptian finds to spoils from the Mary Rose.
