With panoramic views across the surrounding unspoilt countryside towards the sea, this detached Cornish stone and slate cottage is set in the small hamlet of Crugmeer about one and a half miles from the harbour town of Padstow. Entered from the large front garden where there is a generous sized level lawn bounded by a low wall and enjoying distant sea and estuary views, a gated path leads to the entrance at the side of the property.
From here, the stable front door opens to a lobby with coat pegs and a larder cupboard, and an inner door leads into a large country style kitchen with a rustic dining suite and an adjoining day sitting room with patio doors opening to the garden.
Leading off the kitchen, a long beamed sitting room has seating arranged before the feature fireplace, and a door opening directly out to the rear sunny garden with a sheltered south facing patio and five steps leading up to a small hedged and gated lawn.
At the further end of the sitting room there is a wide hallway with an extra futon style sofa bed as a sleeping alternative and a ground floor bathroom W.C. with hand basin. From the hallway, a carpeted staircase leads up to the first floor landing where there are three bedrooms in a cottage décor and a further bathroom W.C. with hand basin. The master bedroom has a kingsize double bed, vanity basin and distant sea views over the fields, and there are two twin bedded rooms overlooking the garden, one with a vanity basin.
There is parking directly outside the property. Tregirls beach at Hawkers Cove is the nearest and can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes, as can the beach at Trevone Bay. Padstow, 1.5 miles by road or a 30 minute walk by footpath, has a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants including Rick Steins, boat trips departing from the harbour and a ferry across to Rock. It is also possible to hire bicycles from the quayside to explore The Camel Trail recreational route. Golf, horse riding, and water sports are all available nearby and there is a well stocked farm shop selling local produce within a 5 minute walk.
Please note: Towels are available at £3 per person per week to be paid on arrival.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
