Video playerAbout four miles from the attractive fishing village of Port Isaac on the stunning North Coast and within a 15 minute drive of the beaches at Polzeath, Rock and Trebarwith Strand, this traditional slate hung cottage is set in a terrace of five similar cottages in the peaceful rural hamlet of Trelill.
Situated at the end of a private lane, the property is approached from the tarmac parking area where there is an allocated parking space for one car and a path leads up to the open porchway and the fully glazed front door. This opens directly into a well fitted kitchen/dining room with a beamed ceiling and quarry tiled floor, and to one side, a step leads down to a cosy beamed sitting room with lounge seating arranged before the fireplace housing an electric log effect fire.
Stairs go directly up from the kitchen to the first floor landing where there are a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and electric shower over the bath, and three cottage style bedrooms with sloping ceilings and a simple fresh decor. The master bedroom has a double bed, there is a childrens bedroom with 3ft bunk beds, and the third bedroom has a single bed with a pull out 2ft 6in guest bed underneath, offering a sleeping alternative.
Outside, there is a small area with table and chairs available for Turnstones own use at the front of the cottage where you get sunshine most of the day and there is a pretty lawned garden at the rear which is shared with the other cottages.
The village of St Kew Highway, 1.5 miles away, has a pub, take away, grocery store/post office and garage, and there are also traditional pubs at both St Teath and Pendoggett, 2.5 miles respectively. For a wider selection of amenities, Wadebridge is about 4 miles and Camelford is approx 6 miles and they each have local shops, a supermarket, and leisure centre with swimming pool. There is a 9 hole golf course with driving range, an extensive farm shop and riding stables all nearby. The golden sandy beaches of the Camel Estuary at Polzeath, Daymer Bay and Rock are approximately 8 miles away, and there are delightful coastal walks and cycle routes within easy reach. The Eden Project and the South Coast are within an hours drive.
