Setin the quiet little village of Linkinhorne, this detached newly converteddouble glazed stone barn has been designed to give the best in comfort andcosiness for couples looking for a peaceful retreat. Tucked Away in the tranquil Lynher Valley onthe eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, the property is set to one side of the ownersfarmhouse and has been created for those who really want to escape from it all,yet it also offers an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. Approached through a gated courtyard with slatechippings, the front door opens to a tiled entrance lobby with drying area andone step leads up to the ground floor hallway with rustic doors containing stainedglass inserts. There is a spaciousbedroom with a 5ft double bed, a beautiful oak headboard and windowsoverlooking the courtyard. An adjacentbathroom has underfloor heating, W.C., wash basin, heated towel rail, showercubicle and a separate bath with hand shower fitment. Carpeted stairs lead up from the hallwaydirectly into a light and airy open plan living room comprising the whole ofthe upper floor with a hip shaped ceiling and tranquil views from triple aspectwindows. In a delightful crisp décor, comfortablelounge seating includes a sofa bed as a sleeping alternative and a drop leafdining suite is arranged on one side. A kitchenisland unit divides the seating area from the well-equipped, fully fittedkitchen area at the rear. In one corner,a door opens to a covered porch and half a dozen railed steps lead down to the privateand sheltered garden for the visitors sole use with a sitting out area. There is a linhay providing storage space forbicycles. Dogs must be supervisedoutside as the garden is not securely enclosed and the owners keep cats, freerange chickens and ducks in the adjacent acre of meadow. There is off road parking for one car infront of the owner’s farmhouse. TheChurch House Inn at Linkinhorne, a traditional pub with restaurant is close byand the Manor House Inn at Rilla Mill is a 5 minute drive; the nearest postoffice store is at Upton Cross 2.5 miles away. The small market town of Callington is 5 miles and for a wider selectionof amenities, Liskeard and Launceston are a 15 minute drive respectively. Siblyback Lake, offering a variety of watersports is 8 miles, walks locally are plentiful and wild life is abundant. Bodmin Moor is 4 miles away and there areseveral golf courses nearby including St Mellion. Situated between the North and South Coasts,they are both approximately a 45 minute drive, and a short car ride across theRiver Tamar leads into Devon with the ancient town of Tavistock and the city ofPlymouth. When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.
Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests who have booked a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.

- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
Pricing information
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
