Property Details

With superb views down over the bustling harbour and out across Mevagissey Bay to Chapel Point this pleasant double glazed semi detached cottage is approached by a few railed steps which lead up from the access road and parking area to a raised patio with a garden seat giving panoramic sea and harbour views.

From here the front door opens first into a small hallway and from there into a spacious sitting room with lovely harbour, sea and coastal views from a bay window. Beyond the sitting room a country style kitchen / dining room has a tiled floor. Upstairs are a bathroom W.C. with shower over the bath and hand basin and two bedrooms. The front bedroom has harbour and sea views, a king size bed and a folding single bed in a recess. The second bedroom has twin beds and a hand basin.

At the rear of the property are a service courtyard and steps to a drying area. At the front, across the access road, and down some steps is a sheltered lawn. Toddlers will need supervision in both areas.

The village amenities and harbour are only a few minutes walk down the hill although it takes a little longer to walk up. There are a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants specialising in locally caught sea food. Scenic boat trips and fishing trips leave from the harbour and there are a small aquarium and model railway.

The Mevagissey to Fowey Ferry runs from the harbour during the season. The South West coast path is only a few minutes walk from the cottage and you can walk along this to Polstreath Beach which is reached by a flight of steep steps from the cliff top just north of Mevagissey. A number of other beaches are also close by. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are a 10 minute drive and the Eden Project is about 30 minutes, in addition there are several golf courses close by.

Please note: Bed linen is available at £3 per person per week and towels are available at £3 per person per week payable on arrival.
