The nearest local shops are at Rock about one mile and there is a pub with family restaurant at Pityme approximately a 5 minute walk. Rock beach is about 1.5 miles away, and has a sandy beach, sailing and water ski facilities and a foot ferry operating to Padstow, and the surfing beach at Polzeath is just under 3 miles by road or a 30 minute walk across the fields. The attractive fishing village of Port Isaac is within a ten minute drive, as is the shopping town of Wadebridge with a leisure centre, cinema and bicycle hire. The Camel Trail, ideal for walkers and cyclists, and several golf courses including Roserrow and St Enodoc are all close by. There are also stunning coastal walks nearby to Pentire Point and The Rumps.
