Within a mile of the lovely sandy beach at Harlyn Bay and a short way inland from Trevose Head, this semi-detached, double glazed newly renovated barn conversion is set in the gardens of the owners home to one side of the coast road from Newquay to Padstow. Approached by a secure gated driveway where there is parking for two cars adjacent to the owners garage, a level gravel path continues up to the front entrance porch with a small work top and coat pegs. An inner stable door leads directly into a well equipped kitchen with fitted units, a beech effect worktop and a slate tiled floor. Beyond is a pleasant comfortable living room with a natural wood floor, soft lighting and a relaxing decor. Overlooking the garden the dining area has an ornamental feature brick fireplace and the adjacent seating area has two comfortable settees. In the far corner, one step leads up to a small hallway and a pretty double bedroom with a wash basin, three steps continue up from the hall to a bathroom W.C. with hand basin, cast iron rolltop bath and shower cubicle and an attractive twin bedded room. The garden immediately to the front has an area for sitting out and visitors are encouraged to make full use of the shared landscaped garden with varying levels of lawn bounded by a stone wall. The village of St Merryn under half a mile away has a selection of small shops, the nearest pub is a five minute walk along the main road and there is a seasonal restaurant just a few yards away. The harbour town of Padstow and the Camel Estuary are about 2.5 miles and there are a further seven beautiful beaches all within a short drive, as well as golf courses. Please note: No young dogs please.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.
Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests who have booked a second or further holiday within 2 years through Cornish Traditional Cottages. If you are eligible for the Loyalty Discount your final balance payment will be reduced accordingly after your booking has been submitted. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
Pricing information
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.

Some properties offer short breaks out of the high season periods. Short breaks cannot currently be booked online. Please phone us on 01208 821 666 to enquire about a short break.
