Recently refurbished with views of unspoilt countryside just over 4 miles from the beaches at Crantock and Newquay this is the self contained first floor wing of the owners farmhouse. Tucked away in a secluded valley it is approached from the parking area via a short gravel path to the fully glazed front door which opens to an entrance porch with a quarry tiled floor, coat pegs and laundry facilities.
From here, a carpeted staircase with a fitted stairgate at the top leads directly up to the first floor landing and the simple and fresh accommodation. There is a pleasant living room in a natural decor comprising a neatly fitted kitchen area in one corner, a drop leaf dining suite and comfortable seating arranged before a window with a rural outlook. A bathroom W.C. with wash basin and bath with hand held shower fitment can be accessed from the landing and there are two ample sized bedrooms; the master bedroom has a double bed with views of the neighbouring fields and the second bedroom has the option of either a double or twin beds as preferred.
Visitors are welcome to use the owners extensive country garden in addition to marked woodland walks on their 350 acre livestock farm and children may enjoy their swing, 14ft enclosed trampoline, slide and shed. Toddlers will require supervision and pets must be kept under control in this farming region. Undercover storage for beachgear and bicycles can also be arranged.
There is a local store/P.O. and village pub in Quintrell Downs one and a half miles away. There are numerous beaches within a 15 minute drive of the property including Fistral, Crantock and Holywell Bay, as are several golf courses. The National Trust Elizabethan manor house and gardens of Trerice is just a 10 minute walk by country lane and the popular holiday resort of Newquay, 4.5 miles, has lovely beaches, a sea life centre, zoo and waterworld leisure park. Lappa Valley Steam Railway and Dairyland Farm World are within a short drive.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:
How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
