A light and spacious detached bungalow built into a secluded hillside garden of half an acre, barely 10 minutes walk from the harbour of Penryn.
Set at the end of a tree lined lane and entered from a well planted walled and gated front garden a pathway and two or three steps lead to an open porchway and the front door which opens into a wide hallway with a useful cloaks cupboard to one side.
At the far end of the hall the sitting room has a low stone fireplace with a coal effect gas fire, windows on three sides and a door to a railed balcony / sun deck which can also be reached by railed steps from the driveway below. Both sitting room and balcony have panoramic roof top views over the trees to the houses of old Penryn on the other side of the valley and take full advantage of the sun. A dining room adjoins the fitted kitchen which has a breakfast bar.
On the further side is a utility room and a separate W.C. with hand basin. Leading off to one side, an inner hallway gives access to a bathroom with a hand basin and shower over the bath, a separate W.C. with hand basin and to three bedrooms, a double and two each with twin beds. Beneath the balcony a partly sheltered paved and grassy terrace, in a corner of the lovely lawned rear garden, is set to catch the evening sun.
A large garage is built in below the living area and the driveway has ample room for at least 2 cars and a boat trailer. Older children will enjoy the space and hidden corners in the garden but the raised terrace and some other areas will require the supervision of toddlers. This semi rural residential area is ideally placed for easy access to the shops and pubs of Penryn and Falmouth. The nearest beaches are at Falmouth, boat hire, sailing and windsurfing tuition, can be enjoyed at Mylor Harbour, all a ten minute drive. Transport can be arranged from a local railway station to the property and any other transport should it be necessary by prior arrangement with the owner.

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
- Excellent
- Good
- Satisfactory
- Below standard
- Poor
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
