With delightful views over the harbour wall and out to sea from a little balcony, this unusual, former fishermans workshop, is set in a conservation area just yards from the waters edge in the picturesque village of Mousehole.
With all the accommodation on the first floor, the property is entered via an external flight of railed stone steps which lead up to a rustic, south facing timber balcony where it is possible to peacefully sit and enjoy the vista.
From here, the stable front door leads directly into a small open plan living room with the exposed natural beams rising up to the apex of the roof and a unique cork clad ceiling for added insulation. Based on a simple nautical theme, cane lounge furniture faces the granite chimney breast which has a back boiler to heat three radiators, there is a pine dining suite and a partly divided galley kitchen area.
Leading off at the rear, there is a double bedroom with a fitted wardrobe and dressing table and a second bedroom which is tiny and has built-in cabin style 3ft bunks. A bathroom with hand basin and separate W.C. can be accessed from both of the bedrooms.
Parking is in the harbour car park adjacent to the property.
The village has a post office, general store, art and craft shops, a pub and a selection of restaurants and cafes all within a five minute walk. There is a small sandy beach within the harbour at low tide and a sea water paddling pool amongst the rocks at the entrance to the village.
There is a wealth of local walks in the immediate vicinity in particular the beautiful two mile stretch of the South West Coast Path from Mousehole to Lamorna Cove. Penzance, 4 miles, has a shopping centre, supermarkets, railway station connecting with local bus routes and a regular ferry and helicopter service to the Isles of Scilly. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is 8 miles to the west; St Michaels Mount at Marazion is 6 miles to the east, and St Ives 12 miles to the north.
Please note: Bed linen is available at £5 per person, per week payable on arrival. Towels are not available. A daily car park ticket currently costs £3.

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
- Excellent
- Good
- Satisfactory
- Below standard
- Poor
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
