With panoramic views down to the sea at Tintagel and of the surrounding countryside, this extremely spacious and recently refurbished, early nineteenth century, detached house is set in the peaceful hamlet of Trenale to one side of the green, barely half a mile from the dramatic north coast.
Approached by a gated drive with two parking areas, the front door opens to a large entrance lobby with the original slate flagstones on the floor and an adjacent utility room with laundry facilities.
The ground floor accommodation, furnished to a high standard, comprises a sitting room with comfortable seating, splendid views towards the sea from a low window seat and an archway leading to a snug room with a wood burning stove set in the hearth. There is a well-equipped fitted kitchen with a large rangemaster cooker and adjoining dining area with maple flooring and stunning views to the sea from full length sliding doors that open to the patio.
From the kitchen, a hallway leads to a larder room and a downstairs bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. Stairs lead up from the hall to a landing where there are four bedrooms and a shower room W.C. with hand basin and wide shower cubicle.
There are three twin bedded rooms, two with lovely views of the sea and one overlooking the village green. The fourth bedroom has a double bed and oblique views of the sea and coastline. There is ample space within the house for storage of golf equipment.
The extensive garden that surrounds the property has a patio area with uninterrupted sea and coastal views and is contained by a low boundary wall; pets and small children will require supervision as it is not securely enclosed.
Tintagel, three quarters of a mile, has a good variety of local shops, pubs and restaurants in addition to the famous ruins of a mediaeval castle and Merlins sea cave. The picturesque NT harbour at Boscastle and the sandy surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand are about a five minute drive respectively. There is also an abundance of local footpaths and glorious cliff walks in the immediate area. Two free membership cards to Bowood Park Golf Club near Camelford entitle the holders to free use of the golf course.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
