Within two miles of the surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand on the spectacular north Cornish coast, this former Victorian bake house is tucked away in the village of Delabole, set back from the main road.
The front door opens to a utility room with laundry facilities and an inner door leads to a pleasant living room with the original slate flagstones on the floor, comfortable seating facing the wood burning stove and a dining suite. In one corner of the room, a door leads to a small, partly fitted kitchen with a belfast sink, double oven and a rustic breakfast table with chairs.
From the living room, a door leads into the central hallway and on the opposite side is a further reception room with lounge furniture arranged before the open fire and rugs on the wooden floorboards. There is also a sun room with a conservatory style suite enjoying views of the adjacent fields and the moors beyond.
A wooden staircase leads up from the hallway to the first floor landing where there are a large bathroom W.C. with hand basin, shower cubicle and roll top bath, and three simply furnished bedrooms. There is a single bedroom, one with a 5ft double bed, and a twin bedded room with the option of zip linked beds. The latter two have lovely views of the countryside with the moors in the distance.
Accessed from the sun room is a terrace with patio furniture, and slightly set apart from the house is a tiny fenced and gated, private garden with a small lawn. There is off road parking for two cars.
Delabole has a village store, P.O., bakery and pub all within a couple of minutes walk, and there are also playing fields and a coarse fishery very close by. The nearest beach can be reached within a 30 minute walk, and the town of Camelford, 3 miles, has a sports centre with swimming pool, golf club and a selection of shops and pubs. The historic village of Tintagel, long associated with King Arthur is about 5 miles, and the picturesque harbours at Boscastle and Port Isaac are 6 miles respectively.
Please note: Towels are available at £3 per person per week to be paid on arrival.

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:
- Excellent
- Good
- Satisfactory
- Below standard
- Poor
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
- Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
- A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
- Weeks marked as 'Reserve' (highlighted in blue) cannot be booked at this point in time because availability and prices have not yet been agreed with the owner. You can reserve these weeks in your name until availability and pricing has been agreed. It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be confirmed in your name if the owner wishes to make the Reserved period available for booking.
- 'Reserved' weeks (as opposed to 'Reserve' weeks) can only be booked by a customer who has 'Reserved' the highlighted period.
All prices are per week per property. Many properties promote an all inclusive price although some charge for extras such as bed linen, towels, heating and/or electricity. The Property description will detail any extra charges.
Booked: A customer has committed to a holiday period by paying a deposit or the full amount for a rental period.
Reserved: When a property is not yet available to be booked, a customer can 'Reserve' the property in their name on a first come first served basis. When Cornish Traditional Cottages and the owner have agreed availability and pricing for your selected period we will contact you to let you know if you can then book the property in your name. A Reservation does not guarantee a booking because the owner has first right of refusal on all availability.
Prices for short breaks are as follows:
- Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
- 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
- 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
- 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
It is important to note that a 'Reserved' period can only be booked if the owner wishes to make the 'Reserved' period available for booking. Upon completion of your reservation you will receive confirmation by email or post containing details of the reservation.
