ParkingJust 150 yards from the quayside with views over neighbouring roof tops and gardens of the harbour, this delightful little self-contained basement flat with its own tiny walled courtyard offers an excellent location for couples, set in the centre of the historic port of Falmouth, the home of Cornwalls maritime heritage.
A gated path and four steps lead down to the entrance with the front door opening directly into an attractive open-plan living room with the original slate flagstones, a low ceiling and some salvaged ship beams. There is a comfortable seating area facing a decorative cast iron fireplace, a rustic dining suite set beneath a skylight window and a neatly fitted galley kitchen.
Leading off to one side, low patio doors open to a small and sunny, walled courtyard providing a secluded spot for al fresco dining. To complete the accommodation, at the rear is a kingsize bedroom with fitted wardrobes and a bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. There is a private off road parking space for one car about 20 yards away.
The town has an extensive range of shops, pubs and restaurants all within a 5 minute walk, as is the main line railway station for people wishing to holiday without a car. The beautiful natural harbour offering fishing and boat trips is within easy walking distance, in addition to Pendennis Castle, the National Maritime Museum, a bowling alley and swimming pool.
There are numerous gardens to visit both in and around Falmouth and the four main beaches of Gyllyngvase, Castle, Swanpool and Maenporth are all within a mile of the property. Sailing and golf are also available nearby.
