A cosy and comfortable semi-detached stone built cottage in the small village of St Kew Highway only a ten minute drive from the picturesque fishing harbour of Port Isaac and fifteen minutes from the magnificent beaches of the Camel Estuary.

Set to one side of a country lane, a couple of gated steps lead up to the front door which opens directly into a slate floored newly fitted farmhouse style kitchen/dining room with a painted board and beam ceiling and a wood burning stove set in a Victorian tiled fireplace.

An adjoining utility area leads through to a bathroom with electric shower over the bath and hand basin and two steps lead up to a separate W.C.

To the left of the kitchen is a warm and cosy sitting room with comfy seating facing an electric flicker flame fire, and on the opposite side three steps lead up to a double glazed conservatory with casual chairs overlooking the pretty garden.

Stairs which lead up from the kitchen divide at the top to three cottage style bedrooms; there is an attractive carpeted twin bedded room, a bright and sunny double bedroom with a stripped wooden floor and a small single bedroom at the rear. There are electric convector heaters in all bedrooms.

A glazed door opens from the conservatory to a garden path and three steps continue up to an enclosed lawned garden with a barbecue area and a slate topped table. There is an off road parking space for one car with additional parking on the lane. The nearest pub and shop/P.O. is just a two minute walk away and there is a 15th century village pub in St Kew, 1 mile.  There is a golf course with driving range and riding stables nearby.

For a wider selection of amenities, the market town of Wadebridge is 3 miles and the golden sandy beaches of Polzeath, famed for its surfing, Daymer Bay and Rock are all within easy driving distance.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:

How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’

A property will achieve 3, 2 or 1 smiles depending on the percentage of ‘goods’ it receives in answer to the question above. Below are the comparisons:
3 smiles (90% 'good' ratings)
2 smiles (75% 'good' ratings)
1 smile (50% 'good' ratings)

There are a number of properties that have been recently added to our portfolio and these are headed "New".
Pets

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £16 pppw (per pet per week).

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.

Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.

A 5% loyalty discount is available at some properties for guests who have booked through Cornish Traditional Cottages a second or further holiday within 2 years. The Loyalty Discount cannot be claimed with any other discount.
How to book

  1. Select the check box next to the week(s) you wish to book. Multiple weeks can only be booked consecutively. Non consecutive weeks must be booked separately.
  2. A summary of your booking will appear. To proceed with the booking select the 'Continue booking' button in the summary box. Deselect the weeks to remove the summary box.
  3. Reserved weeks can only be booked by a customer who has contacted the office and reserved the highlighted period.
Short breaks

Some properties offer short breaks out of the high season periods. Dates that are available for short breaks are shown as (icon). Short breaks cannot currently be booked online. Please phone us on 01208 821 666 to enquire about a short break.

Prices for short breaks are as follows:
  • Up to 3 nights: 62% of the weekly price
  • 4 nights: 71.5% of the weekly price
  • 5 nights: 91% of the weekly price
  • 6 nights: 100% of the weekly price
