This extremely comfortable and spacious detached bungalow is set on the edge of Tehidy Country Park, 250 acres of beautiful woodland and over nine miles of lake and riverside walks to explore that extend to the rugged cliffs at Bassett Cove on the North Cornish Coast.
Recently upgraded, the accommodation is deceptively light and airy and offers versatile sleeping arrangements with an enclosed garden and ample parking for 3 cars.
A level path leads through the mature shrub garden and two steps continue up to a covered verandah and the front door which opens to an entrance hallway with rustic pine flooring and a shower room W.C. with hand basin.
Accessed from the hall, a kingsize bedroom quite uniquely has bi-folding doors that can be opened at night to make one large master bedroom with en-suite facilities.
A delightful sitting room with relaxing and homely décor has comfortable leather seating facing an ornamental fireplace and French Windows that open to the paved patio at the rear. Beyond the lounge is an attractive kitchen/diner with a dining suite next to the wood burning stove and patio doors opening to the sun terrace, and an adjacent smartly fitted kitchen with a larder and pantry area.
To one side of the kitchen there is a practical utility room with laundry facilities, W.C., hand basin and a walk-in shower area which can be accessed directly from the garden, and a twin bedded room overlooking the front.
To complete the accommodation, a door in one corner of the lounge opens to a diverse childrens room with two sets of cabin style bunk beds; two 6ft x 3ft raised bunks reached by an 8 rung ladder, and two 4ft 6in x 2ft 3in lower bunk beds suitable for preteens.
A private and sheltered rear garden with patio, lawn and a covered fish pond is securely fenced and gated and looks out over the trees and orchard behind the property, and there is a shed available for storage of bicycles and beachgear. The owners have a small unobtrusive annexe with its own garden and parking.
The entrance to Tehidy Country Park is half a mile away and the coastal footpath can be reached via a pleasant 30 minute walk through the park. The nearest pub is 1 mile away in Illogan and there is also a pub, small shops and a fine sandy beach at Portreath, 2.5 miles. A handicap certificate is required at the 18 hole Tehidy Park Golf Club nearby.

Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:
How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
