The sandy beach can be reached on foot in a couple of minutes and is popular for bathing, has good surf and there are rock pools at each end of the beach. There is a pub/restaurant, a post office, surfboard hire and general store close by, as well as Praa Sands 9 hole golf course overlooking the sea. For a wider selection of facilities, Marazion, Penzance, Porthleven and Helston are all within a 15 minute drive. There are lovely walks along the South West Coastal Path to the famous Prussia Cove and the rocky NT headlands of Cudden Point and Rinsey Head.
