A cosy semi detached granite cottage, once part of a 19th century working mill, in the hamlet of Trewardreva, just a mile from the pretty village of Constantine close to the Helford River and about 6 miles from both Helston and Falmouth.
Peacefully situated with wide views over the owners 6 acres of fields and woodland, the property is approached by a winding country lane and communal gated driveway to the spacious parking area with room for a car and boat trailer.
Entered through a useful outer lobby which once contained the original mill wheel, this area now provides space for coats, laundry facilities, and a timber built sauna room. From the lobby, one step leads up to the covered front door which opens directly into the open-plan living room with a laminate wood floor and a painted beamed ceiling.
The ground floor accommodation comprises a neat galley kitchen, dining suite, a comfortable leather settee facing the wood burning stove and double glazed sliding doors opening to a private outdoor sitting area with patio furniture. Carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor landing, a fully tiled bathroom W.C. with hand basin, bidet and shower over the bath and a spacious bedroom with a double bed and tranquil views over the surrounding countryside.
The owner offers shared use of her outdoor hot tub free of charge, and a sauna room is available on request by prior arrangement for a small charge. Visitors are encouraged to make use of the adjoining paddock particularly for exercising dogs and there is undercover storage for boats, bicycles and beach gear in one of the several barns. Freezer space can also be made available. Constantine village is 1 mile by road or a 20 minute walk through the woods and has a pub serving food, village store, post office and off licence.
The market town of Helston has a good selection of shops as does the port of Falmouth which is home to the National Maritime Museum and has a foot ferry to St Mawes. There are a wealth of public footpaths in the area including lakeside walks at Argal Reservoir 4 miles away. Port Navas Yacht Club and slipway is 3 miles, Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens are just a short drive, and there is golf and fishing available locally. There is also easy access to the excellent beaches of the Lizard Peninsula and around Falmouth Bay.

Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
