Property Details

A delightful converted detached, double glazed, stone and slate barn in a walled and gated gravel garden, quietly set in the small hamlet of Rose, just one and a half miles inland from the golden sandy beaches at Perranporth.

Ideally situated as a base from which to explore the coves and coastal footpaths of the North Coast, the property is entered down a quiet narrow unmade lane and a gate which opens to a wide gravel courtyard which has space for a car and small boat trailer.

The stable front door opens at one end of the barn to a smartly fitted kitchen area where there are hand made natural pine units with a granite worktop and quarry tiled floor, and an adjacent bathroom W.C. with hand basin and shower over the bath. The remainder of the ground floor accommodation comprises a comfortable long carpeted living room with a rustic dining table and chairs, French Windows overlooking the courtyard, some exposed stonework and lounge seating facing the multi fuel stove.

A carpeted stairway leads directly up from the living room to the first floor landing and two bedrooms; an attractive master bedroom with a hand carved pine double bed and a hip shaped ceiling, and a small childrens bedroom with twin 2ft 6in beds. There are thermostatically controlled electric wall radiators in every room.

Within the enclosed gravel courtyard attached to the far end of the barn, a gazebo has climbing plants and patio furniture set beneath, two neighbours have a right of way to the rear of their properties but this is seldom ever used.

The village of Goonhavern, 1 mile, has a pub and post office stores and the immediate area offers horse riding, coarse fishing, a golf club and of course the sandy surfing beach, shops and amenities in Perranporth all within a few minutes drive. Truro and Newquay are about a 15 minute drive respectively.

Please note: Towels are not available.
