A detached older style bungalow with superb sea views. Set in a cliffside garden looking across the cove of Portmellon and beyond to the far side of St Austell Bay and along the coast for several miles.
Tucked below a lane that leads to Chapel Point cove (with a detached garage and space for an additional car at lane level), a gate and path with three steps down leads to a fence and second gate into the garden immediately adjoining the bungalow. The front door leads through a sun room into a pleasant sitting / dining room with superb sea views from the window. The adjacent kitchen "borrows" the views through a wide hatchway.
A small hallway to one side of the sitting room gives access to a bathroom W.C. with vanity basin and a shower over the bath, a twin bedded room with sea views and a double bedroom with a 5' kingsize bed which has direct access to a utility area with sink, a W.C. and a shower room with hand basin.
From the sitting room a covered verandah leads through a stable door to one of the lawned areas of the garden which is on several levels and not suitable for unsupervised young children since it is not fenced on the seaward side. There is a detached garage and space for an additional car at lane level. Portmellon has safe bathing and a seasonal pub and the shops, pubs, restaurants and harbour at Mevagissey are half a mile.

When a property shows 'sleeps' in the format X-Y, X equals the maximum number of adults that can comfortably be accommodated and Y indicates the maximum number of adults + children that can be comfortably accommodated in the property.
Our rating method, the popular "smiles" system is generated entirely by the feedback we receive from our visitors. The number of smiles is arrived at by taking the average grading given to the question:
How would you rate the cottage's fittings, furnishings and equipment?’
A property will achieve a rating of 5 Smiles down to 1 Smile, although it is our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than 3 Smiles. The customer chooses from the following ratings:

There is an extra charge for pets, most commonly at £18 pppw (per pet per week).
Assistance dogs are of course welcome in all our cottages free of charge, however owners of them should be aware that a considerable number of people are allergic to dogs and in some cases can have a severe reaction. Owners are therefore encouraged, where at all possible, to choose a property which normally allows pets.
Some properties accept pets other than dogs, but in all cases we are required to confirm consent from the cottage owner. Please contact the office on 01208 821 666 if you would like to take a pet other than a dog with you to one of our cottages.
